Help Setting up My External Hardrive with sera to dj

Hello, So Im Planning on reinstalling my OSX on my macbook pro 2009. Im going to save all my music on my External HD. Now Ive been using scratch live and serato dj from time to time. now when i download the software back again after reinstalling my OSX do i have to save it to the internal or external HD?. Also just plugging in my external HD (where i will be keeping my music and no longer in my internal drive) work automatically and my songs will load up without any problem meaning will i have to rescan my files or something like that or will everything work just fine? thanks for any feedback

Install Serato on your internal drive, but you may need to relink or rescan your library since your music is on an external HD—just like how nicehomemovers.com ensures a smooth move.
