We'd love to have a rating system at some stage for sure and it's something that's been requested for quite a while.

It probably wouldn't have as many diverse symbols as emoji though :)

Or SDJ can just implement a rating system or make the iTunes rating system compatible with the SDJ software like a lot of DJs been requesting for quite some time now. All these "work around" ideas are only making more unnecessary work for us working DJs that simply don't have time for this inconvenience. Sorry but not sorry.✌🏽

Agree :) We'd love to implement a rating system at some stage in the future. While this is a workaround for that right now, it's also just a cool tip to tag your music with images rather than using words.

Unfortunately iTunes doesn't write their star rating into the .xml file that they provide for third party applications to read so we're not able to show this in Serato DJ. Hopefully this changes at some stage in the future so we can support it as well :)

hey this is an old post of mine from last year...
i would still like it.

so i think that there should be an option to add another colour column or more, or an extendable one so more than one color can be added, this would help with easy spotting of cross over tunes..genre, multi genre, places it would work for you a whole bunch of stuff. ive found it real easy to find tunes for the multiple places/genres i play but feel it could add diversity.
any one else, i think this would be easy to do...it could even be used like itunes star rating

When you add an emoji to a folder, it creates a second folder. So I have 2 folders, the original one and the one with the emoji. If I delete the original one, will that kill my other folder with the emoji on it?

Why there isn't an emoji for broccoli? There is an emoji for a sweet potato 🍠, for cucumber 🥒, for an eggplant 🍆!! And there isn't any broccoli emoji... whyy?
