Have done a fair bit of googling the last 24hrs, and thought it might be useful to get all the info in one place, for anyone planning to use one of these with a newer mac....
This is what I know so far:
- 68 officially compatible up to Sierra
- 64 officially compatible up to High Sierra
I can't seem to find which OS X the TTM57SL was officially supported, but I think it was El Capitan. Can anyone confirm?
Have seen people post that TTM57SL works fine on Sierra, and even Mojave (if you disable SIP). Has anyone got any feedback on this? Is it reliable?
Also keen to know if that "disable SIP" workaround can be used for 64 and/or 68 with Mojave?
Here's a link with instructions on how to disable SIP/csrutil:-

Will update this post later with some of the other workarounds that are sometimes necessary....

scratchlive was only officially compatible up to yosemite, but people have gotten it to work on higher OSs after deleting some files in the Library folder.

Looks like the Sixty Eight, Sixty Four, and MP2015 aren't supported for Mojave. I'm assuming that they will eventually sort the MP2015 out but who knows!?
Would love to see any workarounds for these mixers...

Hi,
FYI Sixty-four is working strong for me with Mojave, Catalina, and even Big Sur, on MBP 2017 15” TB and 2019 15” TB.
Only the control panel is broken but you can access all the parameters within the mixer... So not a problem for me.
Cheers 🍻

Hey, anyone here, using the 64 with windows?
I always had problems with my 2012 macbook pro (high sierra), alsways got audio dropouts while playing and some other issues.
Now i thought, ok lets check it out with a different device, just to be sure that its not a hardware problem. But this fucking driver wont work!
I tried at least 5 times now, always restarting my new pc, but nothing works.
The only thing i see is the controll panel, but no audio device in windows and serato still always says "install driver"....
Im really pissed now....

Hey,
i took the latest driver (64), after restarting, installed the Serato Driver, then it says "connecting".
But after a minute or something it says "connection failed".
I tried to reinstall multiple times, without sucess.
i also cant choose it as an audio device under windows, is this normal?
the only programm i was able to use it with, was ableton... good, i thought, then it must be recognized at least. It also shows up in the device manager, but no work with serato dj pro.
Im a little bit confused about that.....

It's definitely broken and I am sure you have given rane support a request as this is your best route.
I know rane was working on fixing some drivers for older hardware but then I heard they killed the development during beta testing of those drivers

This link is also useful, for anything from High Sierra onwards....

I'm going to play around with my Rane Sixty Four soon, as I've just seen that Serato 2.5.0 onwards requires Mac OS Sierra 10.12 and higher, and also that Serato 2.6.0 onwards requires Mac OS Mojave 10.14 and higher.
Theoretically I should be able to get the Sixty Four and maybe even the Sixty Eight to work with at least 2.5.1, which is what I need for Denon LC6000 compatibility....

Serato 3.0 requires Big Sur, Monterey, or Ventura, so I guess that means only MP2015 officially supported....
Anyone got any feedback on SL2, SL3, or SL4 with Big Sur or Monterey? A few links here that might help:-
serato.com
serato.com
SL3 is only supported up until Catalina (only one OS behind Big Sur), and SL2 and SL4 up to Mojave (2 OS behind Big Sur).
To be honest I think the real incompatibility issues are only when it comes to the M1 (non-intel) macs. There is a workaround around for most of the others, with a few drawbacks, like losing the software control panel, or complications if you need to install/re-install drivers...

Serato 3.0 sill works on older OSs - they just aren't officially supported - so if you have a problem, Serato will tell you to update your OS first.
I have 3.0 running on my Mojave mac and Catalina mac without issues (other than the mojave mac is just too slow to run stems well).

Thanks for the info dj_soo
Just as a slight update - I suspect that the OS compatibility difference between SL3 and SL2/SL4 was just incorrect/old info in articles on the Serato website.
They are now all showing as officially supported up to Mac OS 10.15 Catalina, with last supported Serato version of 2.5.5
serato.com
serato.com
serato.com
As previously mentioned though, you should be fine to run all the way up to Serato 3.0 on Catalina with these older models, and there are not too many issues with using workarounds to overcome potential driver issues with Big Sur & Monterey.
It's a real shame that the Denon DS1 was discontinued and that nothing has come out to replace it, as the best failsafe for an unsupported Rane product is to carry one of them as a backup (it's very small, and I'm pretty sure it doesn't require a driver at all on macs).

Hey guys the post recommending to load the kext manually above Catalina,
Has anyone else tried that? Seems like a good alternative but just be aware your on your own if kext fail.
sudo kextload /path/to/kext.kext
You could always safe boot to terminal and delete the kext
Who has tried that workaround? Sounds like it could be useful with other unsupported hardware

FWIW this will only work on x86 Macs, not M1. Rosetta doesn't translate kernel extensions.

So.....I was running Serato DJ Pro 3.0.6 with OS Monterey and just got my Sixty Four out, as I'd like to try and use it at a gig tomorrow.
As soon as I plugged it in, it said that it was no longer supported, and linked me to the last supported version, which is 2.5.5, so I installed that. It went fine and I just had to allow the system software in security and privacy. It said "System software from developer "Rane Corporation" was blocked from loading." and I just needed to unlock the settings and click allow.
Seems to work fine, and the only problem that I can see is that Serato DJ Pro 2.5.5 is (just!!) too old to work with CDJ3000s!!

What MacBook pro and osx are you running?
I'm looking into an older laptop for backup in situations like this. I have an m1 so I know it ain't going to work with legacy hardware like this and my 2012 I have issues with serato dj stability since it's so old.
