Incorrect key mapping?

Hi folks quick question, so I have Sample and am trying to use the computer keyboard to trigger the regions / slices of a sample i have sliced. I have the same issues on two separate PCs (im from the UK if that helps diganosis).

My issue is, that when im seeing the buttons highlighted in Serato Sample, for example the first 4 keys are Z S X D to trigger the region i want. However, when i press these keys on my laptop or desktop keyboard, instead of triggering the buttons which are marked 'Z S X D' within the Serato Sample UI, these buttons are not activated and instead I can see the keys are triggering unallocated buttons / keys in the serato software. Its almost as if i have the 'wrong' keyboard layout or setting however I have no issues with any other software in this regard.

Hi MJ76
It may be that you need to adjust the octave your DAW is set to.
If you're seeing Z S X etc I assume you're using FL Studio? It's expected the pad assigned to Z is mapped to C3.

Thank you for the reply Luke, correct I am using FL and still learning it so have some gaps in my knowledge at the moment. I wasnt sure where in the daw to adjust the octave which the computer keyboard is set to, however i did try adjusting it in the Serato Sample window (the Key/Detune area) but this had no effect on the buttons. I changed it to an octave lower and higher to no avail. I should probably point out, that when i physically select the Z S X D buttons with my mouse on screen, the correct segments play.

OK Just learnt something in FL (Thanks Luke), ok so I changed the Root note of the instrument (serato) in FL settings menu for that instrument/plugin/channel by right clicking c6, and this made it work, thanks Luke. Not sure if I have to do this every time I use Serato but I guess its not a big deal, im just glad I can use it with my computer keyboard now! Thanks again!
