As the title suggests unfortunately im going to have to revert back to v1.4 for the time being,my laptop just isnt powerful enough v2.0 its eating cpu and tracks are just not playing smoothly at all, a couple of chops and the laptop is read to blowup! it does have 8g of ram and plenty ssd storage but its not the best laptop and i have seen issues in the past particularly with analog labs. serato sample v1.4 worked flawlessly on my laptop and will have to do for the time being. I cant find the installer on the serato website for earlier releases and when i go to pluginboutique where i bought it that just bring me to the serato website! any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi, thank you for your reply
I went to that page originally but it kept rerouting me to version 2.0 (sending me an email link for 2.0) when i was looking at how to do it on my phone. but I've since went through it on the laptop and it worked
Thanks again

Does the update to Serato Sample 2.0 wipe version 1 data used in any previous projects? Thanks!

Hi DJ Komag,
Sample 2.0 can use projects where 1.4.1 was used, but 1.4.1 can not use projects where 2.0 is used. We do not have that backwards compatibility unfortunately.
But to answer your question, no Sample 2.0 should not wipe data in previous projects (assuming 1.4.1 was used).
Also Sample 1.4.1 was VST2 - If you are using Sample 2.0 in the VST3 format it will not be able to load the VST2 data and you might get a blank instance. If you want to load old projects please use the VST2 version.
Cheers
