Hey I posted about this on the Beta forums but haven't heard back, just looking for an update.

I have noticed this as well, i'm not quite sure what is causing this to happen so I will chat with the developers to see why that might be happening. It's possible the file is getting the beatgrid reanalysed if Sample can not detect an existing beatgrid, causing the "Date Modified" tag to be updated. I will get back to you.

Hi DEVIOUSTRIP sorry about the delay in getting back to you. Unfortunately Serato Studio and Serato Sample have a bug where blank/no data is added to a file on load causing the date modified in OS file browsers to get re-sorted. Nothing is changing about the file it just gets updated unnecessarily.

A bug has been logged and this is something we are currently investigating but don't have a timeline of when this will be resolved. Obviously it's ideal that the files are not modified unless they need to be. For now I can suggest using another sorting method (date added maybe) until this is fixed. Sorry for any inconvenience.
