Hello i have a question about the serato Dj Lite, i got a Laptop i would say is low end, Pc specs are I7 something 8gb ram and a Radeon graphic card (dont remember witch) fully updated with windows 10. But i have now been trying different dj software for my new Numark Mixtrack Platinum FX. And why is Serato so heavy driven :P ? when i did use Virtual Dj i having no issues at all, but when i use serato dj lite the software starts lagging then crashing eventually, and i really would like to use serato and eventually buy the pro version, but right now it seems like i need to buy a new laptop aswell, becouse on my high end pc it works fine( Not Laptop). i dont wanna refurnished my hole apartment :P
Enyone here that could recommend me a laptop to a decent price that would work with serato dj and maybe streaming aswell? So i know what to look for when the days come when i gonna buy a new laptop.
Regards From Jallball

for Serato, I think the system requirements need a bit of updates because I fulfill them and still, I can't get the maximum of it.
For a PC, I had a good discussion with my tech and I have knowledge in computers for a long time so he can't just tell me something without having to develop and justify why it should cost 2000$+
Gamer styles laptop : 11th gen + (for intel).. at least 16 gigs RAM (32 if 11th gen) and you need a graphic card other than a standard.. super fans for cooling.. and with that, I can be good for 2-3 years before thinking of changing it.
I don't have any technical knowledge on Mac, neither my tech. The only thing I know is everybody I knew at a time were using Mac for anything music and it seems still a very popular option.
Hope it helps!

Sucks to hear that you're having such a hard time running SDJ Lite. Have you checked out the optimization guide @ support.serato.com ? Might help
You shouldn't need super high specs to run SDJ, though streaming would def add overhead.
Personally I'm able to comfortably run SDJ + other workloads on the ASUS TUF F15 (as well as the 2021 Macbook Pro if you're interested in Apple)
I personally recommend a tower PC rather than a laptop (more value for money) if you're going to stream rather than play live, but these obv are not portable for sets
Good luck

Yup on my side, I checked the windows optimization guide. I run a 6th gen i7 quad core 8 threads, 16 gigs RAM with the Inpulse 300 MK2 from Hercules and my biggest problem right now is maintaining my temperature at a reasonable level. I reach some peaks by moments at 195F (90C) out of nowhere and this is usually when Serato sort of bugs. Screen slows down and freezes for not even half a second and I hear some static in my sound for the time being.
I sent my laptop for cleaning and to replace the cooling on the CPU (so I know it was done the right way from a tech I trust) and I gained about 10C, but still getting some peaks from nowhere. My windows installation is brand new.. everything shows that graphics are my problem. Of The Course, I need to use a cooling pad.
Thanks for the Tower tip! Didn't knew the difference was still so major between both. I used to run a web radio using my MacBook Pro 2012 so.. LoL
All help appreciated! :) Thanks and Have a good.. no a great.. no a very great day! :)
