I've been using it for over 2 years now but the Serato Studio updates have gone in other directions and have not substantially improved the workflow with which I complete my projects. For example the size of each scene still has a maximum of 8 size in 2024??, prehistorically designed only for a small group of users. I need 64 size for complex scene introductions and Serato can't do it. A few days ago I found Reaper v.7 and it works great with that function and it's FREE. For now I only use the Stems option in Serato and the sequences and everything else in Reaper. I don't love Serato anymore, the developers are going at turtle speed. I hope they start to listen to the requirements of the users that for a long time we don't see our wishes developed in realities. Serato is already far behind the rest of DAWs in 2024. I have given up.

Scene size limit of 8 bars is outdated and hinders complex project workflows. Updates haven't addressed core workflow issues. Feels like developer progress is slow compared to other DAWs.
Has anyone else found the scene size limit restrictive? What workflow improvements would you like to see in Serato Studio? Do you feel developer updates haven't kept pace with the needs of users? Have you considered using other DAWs to complement Serato Studio? (e.g., Reaper for your specific needs) Is there a way to voice these concerns more effectively to the Serato developers? (e.g., official forums, support tickets).
You still find value in Serato Studio's Stems option. You're open to using Reaper for specific functionalities alongside Serato Studio.
While expressing frustration, keep the tone constructive. Focus on finding solutions and improving the software for everyone. Hopefully, this forum discussion can spark a conversation and lead to positive changes in Serato Studio.

I share with Andrich the request to expand the length to at least 16 bars, since 8 is ridiculous in 2024, obviously if you make a 1 chord track and a drum loop then 8 bars is enough, now if they expand to 16 or 32 at least it would be great! It depends on whether you use Serato as a toy or you immerse yourself in a serious composing and production tool, as it is, Serato doesn't get there.

+1 to expanding scene length to at least 16 bars. 32 or 64 would be amazing but 8 is pretty restrictive.

+1 for at least 16 bars.
I agree, updates are super slow with Studio, I really only use it for stem separation and sketches now and then and finish it off in Ableton (due to no bus) and no ability to save samples in the project folder. I had high hopes for Studio but they don't release features fast enough.

You might want to try RipX. It has more advanced stem separation that Serato and if you set it as your External Sample Editor it integrates into Ableton.
I agree, Serato needs to update a lot faster to keep up.
