hi hat and snare rolls

note repeat on the akai mini does not translate in serato studio, creating these rolls are not as clean as they should be. when you create a snare or hi hat as an instrument and try and create rolls, drawing these in there needs to be a better grid for precision.

If you want your rolls to be tuned just create a new drum track. Then lay out your patterns at a single pitch using the grid. When you're ready to change the tone, just click the piano button on the drum pad that you want to edit in the piano roll. I hope that makes sense.

I never said anything about changing a tone, Im talking about the feel of the roll or stutter is not quite right. I can do it in seconds on the Mpc, but it’s very aggravating to have to compromise with what you’re creating in serato because the tools just aren’t there. First you quickly draw it in and then it’s not right, so you go into adjusting the notes by hand or just sampling what you want and adding it in like that, this is crazy if this is supposed to be a full Daw

I guess I'm trying to understand why you're using an instrument or sample track versus a drum track.

You’re way off, I don’t know if you’re high or just typing to waste my time. Reread the thread and you’ll see you have not came close to what Im talking about in this thread. Im a professional, I mainly use the MPC but since I paid for this software and this is a help forum, I made a post.

Yeah I figured it out and got it to swing right like the mpc feel

Due to your elementary questions I was trying to be helpful, but since you're such a professional then let's keep it that way. Capisce?
