the software since the 2.3 update is erasing takes in my track without me doing anything, i record a snare move on to the next track and after I record another instrument, the previous snare is gone

Do you have a video showing the deletion happening by chance?
JoeTraxx 6:37 PM - 12 August, 2024
There’s nothing to record, I just notice that previous tracks are not there when producing. Example, I may record a kick drum , a snare and then a hi hat. Once ai finish the hi-hat the snare is gone, I’ve notice this on a few occasions now I save after every pass

double check that you don't have overdub recording set

Im recording in different decks so thats not the problem
The Gonz 9:26 PM - 12 August, 2024
check on those decks if you have overdub enabled. You were saying you did a kick recording , snare recording and having that happen.

Do you have a video recording of that happening ?
JoeTraxx 12:46 AM - 13 August, 2024
It happened randomly, am I supposed to record a video every time I make a beat? I’ve been producing for over 20 years, I know when I see a bug. If Im making a beat and the groove is right, and then all of sudden I hear something missing. I know I’ve already recorded a snare and it’s now missing out of nowhere, thats a problem. Don’t act like Serato Studio is bulletproof. Im just reporting a problem, Im a professional www.joetraxx.com

First off, Thanks for taking the time to even answer back. Question, Why does Serato export all the unused sounds on decks, even if you go on and erase the unused sounds it exports the empty pads on any deck that you have in the session. So let’s say you create a Template and put all your go to sounds in it, it exports everything you have in your session, this is kinda wild. I don’t understand this concept, why does Serato think this is useful. I purchased the full version almost 2 years ago, and Ive been trying to use this as my go to. I send in reports and have been messaging these help boards for weeks for feedback and it’s almost never happens

In regards to recording a video every time , no I wouldn't expect anyone to have to do that. I'm in no way questioning your proficiency .

It's just seeing whats happening in real time would give me better idea of the issue at hand (I don't work for Serato, Just another person in here trying to help another person in here). Is Serato Bulletproof, No . Each DAW has its pro's and con's and my goal is to pinpoint an issue and try to get it resolved or get the wheels in motion so someone can get it fixed.

Yes I would like unused tracks to not be apart of the export session as well.

If you prefer we could even do a video chat to see what it could be or I can see it first hand . my email is djgonz123@gmail.com

No problem.

I've had certain sounds visible but stop playing audio. When I reopen the session it will begin playing again. As for exporting only the drum tracks in use that would be ideal!
