Pioneer disappointments and cdj3000

I’ve been using Serato since I bought my DDJ-sx on release, I love it, will never look back.

I’ve used MacBooks ever since then and I’ve never had one major issue. No crashes, no big software issues, nothing to really cry about that I can think off.

Before that I was using CDJ 2000 and djm controlling virtual Dj and usb sticks and all that crap.

Recently at a club I play I’ve been swapping between pioneer and denon and I’ve been having a lot of issues with pioneer equipment when using with my MacBook and also usb.

Long story short I wanted to make a usb again that I can use on pioneer CDJ’s no matter where I am or where I go, as like a second choice if for any reason I can’t use my beloved Serato.

I downloaded that crap that is rekordbox, and used MixO to pull everything from my Serato folders etc.

I transferred everything into rekordbox, I was amazed at just how easy it was and that everything I worked hard at setting up over the years in Serato, was now there in rekordbox (don’t worry Serato, I will never jump ship).

Now here’s the kicker and it’s really pissed me off.
You can’t export more than 1000 tracks in a playlist/crate to usb? WTAF?

And it keeps saying I can’t export my high quality AIFF tracks either as they are too big! Nothing will play them!!!
And it can’t play MP4 either?

Jesus, how far behind is pioneer ffs?

Also, I seem to get a lot of abuse because I use laptop/serato. I mainly use it with club kit now, CDJ’s by pioneer and denon. Denon being the better to use, it’s an absolute joy to use them (except for the play button).

My question is, what can a CDJ (3000) do using usb that I can’t do using serato? I really can’t see what all the fuss is about.

I feel restricted every time I connect to them, but I can’t be dragging a controller around and I do not want to go back to buggy USB’s.
