Hey Serato Community,
I wanted to start a discussion about a feature I believe would significantly improve the Serato DJ workflow - the ability to access multiple streaming services simultaneously, similar to the functionality in Rekordbox.
Currently, Serato requires DJs to log out of one streaming service to access another, which can be incredibly frustrating during live sets or preparation. Rekordbox has already implemented a seamless solution that allows DJs to pull tracks from TIDAL, iTunes, and Beatport simultaneously without logging in and out.
Here are the key benefits of implementing this feature:
Workflow Efficiency: DJs often curate playlists across multiple platforms. The current method of switching between services breaks creative flow and wastes valuable preparation time.
Expanded Music Access: Not all tracks are available on every platform. The ability to cross-reference and pull from multiple services would give DJs more comprehensive music libraries.
Competitive Advantage: This feature would bring Serato in line with (or potentially ahead of) competitors like Rekordbox, making the software more attractive to professional and hobbyist DJs alike.
I'm curious to hear from other Serato users:
Would you find this feature useful?
How often do you use multiple streaming services?
What challenges do you currently face with service switching?
Hoping this sparks a constructive discussion and maybe catches the eye of the Serato development team!
