Actually i'm able to use the record function "offline" (if i get right what offline means), the issue is when the controller is plugged

offline is when you unplug your controller from your laptop

when you unplug your controller, Serato goes offline, and if you dont have "Serato Play" plugin then the record button wont show, in 2 deck mode

Ok so as i said earlier i'm able to record offline, the issue is when the controller is plugged.

when you plug your controller to your laptop and start serato, are you able to see the record button?

are you trying to record Tidal music and other streaming apps?

rely on the title of the post not my first sentence, i wrote the opposite of what i was thinking.


I can see the the record button, record start but there is no audio signal, so recorded file is empty. No problem when the controller is UNPLUGGED.
And i'm not trying to record Tidal, but my own music.

are you using Serato DJ pro?

or are you using Serato DJ Lite?

next to the record button to the left is a drop down menu that says "mix" click that and change it to FLX4

I use Serato DJ Pro, and FLX4 is not available, only "mix"...

Jump on the pioneer Forums and see if they can help you there obviously it has something to do with the FLX4

Which OS are you using? May need to allow permissions in order to record in Serato.

The issue with the FLX4 is likely due to audio routing. When plugged in, it’s the default device for recording, including Spotify. When unplugged, your system may not switch to another input, causing no signal. Check your audio settings in Serato and your system to fix this.

I found how to fix the issue.

Actually user has to allow Serato Dj Lite to access the microphone in Mac OS. I ignored the prompts because i did not think it was relevant since i don't need to use a mic in Serato, but it is important to allow this, to prevent different issues, such as recording issues.
