Loading tracks is really slow after not using the application for some time

When I start using Serato, I have no problem loading tracks, it goes really fast (even with Stems activated) and works perfectly. I can use it like that for hours, without any issues.
However, if I then not use it for some time (because another DJ is playing on another DJ set) let's say for about 30 to 45 minutes, I have an issue loading tracks. It still loads, but can take up to minute. I have no idea why this is, there is hardly any load on the CPU and it worked before, so the hardware shouldn't be an issue, I think.
I use a laptop with Core I7, Windows 10 Pro, 16GB RAM
Please let me know if you also experienced something like this and even beter why this is happening and how to prevent it from happening.
Thanks!

have you tried restarting your laptop when you have this issue?
or install an app like wise memory optimizer, this app frees up more ram so you wont lag so much, This app also lets you see how much ram you have left, and it also frees memory up.
just a tip ram memory is cheap especially if you're using ddr4 memory, you can easily upgrade your ram with 2x16gb ram sticks this help with multi tasking in windows,
I personally recommend using 32gb ram especially if you use stems a lot.

Thanks for the tips.
No, I haven't restarted the app at that moment, since I was in the middle of my gig (just started again, the other DJ was already away from his set) and I couldn't stop the music...
I understand what you say, but why would it work without any issues for hours actually loading and playing tracks (using Stems and everything else) and at the moment I haven't used anything, since it was just sitting there idle, all of a sudden run out of memory?

always have an aux cable at the ready to ply music from your phone, so you can deal with any issues like restarting your laptop.
cause the longer you use your laptop the more memory and cpu it uses, if your laptop is not freeing up resources like ram , gpu, cpu then your programs will run sluggish and laggy thats why

Your Serato issue may be due to power settings or background apps like Spotify. Set your laptop to High Performance, check Task Manager, and clear Serato cache. If needed, reinstall or update Serato.

Thanks for your answers, I will check if this is the case, by using it for a couple of hours straight and also using for a few hours, letting it sit for an hour and use it again, to see if this gives the same issue again.

for dj purposes I like to use windows lite instead of windows pro or windows home, the big issue is there is so many apps running in the background, utilising resources, you have to tell windows to prioritise serato over other apps,
