What features would you like to see in Serato software?

I know there have been lots of discussions about visualization support in Serato. This feature request is related, but does not actually need a built in visualizer.

First: of course I would prefer a built in visualizer as overlay and filter features already exists in Serato Video, which I would say have a logic space for visualizations to be filled there.

However, If, Serato do not prioritize integration visualization - I urge them to make it possible to add a second videosource for external visualisers.

I also would like it to be selectable if visualizer manually or automaticly would fill in, where ordinary videos show black screen or if mixing between videos and just audiofiles.

Today, I handle the situation by having a visualizer running and do videomixing using a Blackmagic Athem Mini Pro videomixer to mix between visualiser and Seratovideo (both running om same pc) when there is no output from serato or if I would like to overlay videos with visualization.

But, even if it work, I feel my setup is unessesary complicated and a visualizer directly in Serato would be preferred.

Oops. Technically, we're not allowed to 'advertise' 3rd party products here on the forum so i should clarify that this is not an ad but my own personal recommendation as a way to solve your issue. Mix Emergency doesn't have its own visualizer (yet) but it does let you work with other video sources in a much more flexible way. Download the free trial and try it for yourself.

I'm on PC/Win and MixEmergency is MAC only - :/

Ack. I forgot to mention that. I use PCs so rarely now I almost forget they exist! Unfortunately, there isn't really another video option that integrates with Serato to the same degree.

It's a shame you can't use it because

Mix Emergency has these EXACT capabilities you're describing, which is why I mentioned it.

To be fair though, you did post this as a feature request and not a user help request so I'll bow out now, wish you the best and add my own +1 to eventually see these and other features in Serato Video.
