Hello everyone,
I just received my FLX10, and when trying to record, the sound is very low, filtered, and almost inaudible… I’ve attached a sample so you can hear it for yourself:
wetransfer.com
I was using a DDJ-SZ before this, and I never had this issue. However, I tested the FLX10 last night on a DJM-9A + CDJ-3000 setup, and the result was the same, so I assume it’s not a hardware issue.
I also tried changing the USB-C cable, but it didn’t improve the situation.
I’m using a MacBook Pro M2 Pro, macOS Sonoma 14.7.3, and Serato DJ Pro 3.2.4.
Has anyone experienced this issue before? Any tips on how to fix it?
Thanks in advance, and have a great Sunday!

Inside Serato, make sure "use laptop speakers" is unchecked under the Audio tab as that can cause problems.
Also - make sure your controller or mixer isn't set to be Mac OS's current input and/or sound output or you can potentially get a weird feedback loop.
You can do this inside Applications -> Audio Midi Setup.
(If the Audio Devices window isn't already showing, it should be as it's the default, choose Window -> Show Audio Devices.)
On the left, you'll see your inputs and outputs. Right click (or control click / two finger tap) on your Mac's built-in Microphone then select "Use this device for sound input." Same thing with output, choose your laptop's built-in speakers for sound output.
That should reset everything on the software side.

Thank you for your response. I have carried out all the steps, but the result remains the same… I’m starting to lose hope…

Might be worth updating the firmware if you haven’t tried already: support.pioneerdj.com

I had already done it, but I tried again a second time without success. Thanks anyway.
I’m hesitating to update to macOS Sequoia; maybe it will fix the issue. 🤷♂️
