DVS Issue – Left Deck Only Showing a Line in Scope View

Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue with my left DVS deck in Serato DJ, where the Scope View only shows a straight line instead of the usual circular signal. My right deck works perfectly fine.

What I’ve tested so far:

Cables & Connections:
I checked all RCA and USB cables and swapped them with others. The same cables work perfectly on the right deck.

CDJ Swap:
I switched the CDJs to the opposite sides, but the issue always remains on the left side.

Mixer Swap:
I tested with different mixers (S11, S9, S7), but the problem persists.

Turntable Test:
I connected a turntable instead of a CDJ, and the left deck still only shows a straight line in Scope View.

Rekordbox Test:
DVS works perfectly on both decks in Rekordbox, which suggests the issue is specific to Serato DJ.

Serato DJ Reset & Reinstallation:
I deleted all Serato settings and reinstalled the software, but the issue remains.

DVS Calibration:
Automatic calibration doesn’t improve the signal, and manual adjustments to the threshold also have no effect.

MacBook Test:
I tested my setup with my old MacBook and my friends’ MacBooks, and everything worked correctly. However, the issue only occurs on my current MacBook.
Since this problem happens only in Serato DJ and only on my current MacBook, I suspect it’s a software or system-related issue. Has anyone experienced a similar problem, or does anyone have suggestions on how to fix this?

check and make sure your RCA line in, is in the correct left and right, red is right and white is left. on the back of your mixer

I have already tested that and made sure the RCA connections are correct (red = right, white = left). The issue is that only the white input on the left side is not being recognized.

I have also tested multiple RCA cables, and the problem only occurs on the left side, regardless of which mixer I use (S11, S9, S7).

Any other suggestions?

I had this exact issue not long ago and found it was one of the ground wires that came loose. Maybe double check that they’re snug?

Interesting have you tried a diff version of SDJ?

For my understanding, you have swapped decks, cdjs and mixers and nothing helped? So you are completely ruling out external hardware am I understanding this correctly?

If so you should try swapping laptops, drivers, SDJ versions to find the culprit.

Right now it's hard to pinpoint whether it's a hardware or software issue.
