Dundalk? I'm on the other side of the beltway... near Security. I used to be into the turntablist thing until those scratches came out with weird names and complicated clicks - then I just gave up. I still enjoy a session every now and then though. If you're free next Sunday (the 24th), come to Goodlove. We'll be there with Lil' Mic and Impulse - those are two tablists you need see in action right there. Holla.

^Yeah it's kinda like playing old school video games where for the most part, you had one joy stick and one button and then jumping into the new school games where you have umpteenth buttons and combinations to deal with. Of course you can overcome it with practice (you just got to believe, lol), which leads me to a question, is it easier for new jacks to learn the complex scratches and techniques than the old school folks?

Viscious V is (or was a monster if you ask the turntablists in the area). I think he was vicious (no pun intended) because of those cut/pause/splice four track reel to reel mixes he did back in the '80's....one word...NICE. Did you live in Baltimore then? If so do you remember Geofrey C and DJ Spen?

I remember them... I was young tho. I met Vicious at a couple of battles, but I never got to REALLY see him do his thing. I never got to hear those mixes I heard about from the 80's either.

He's pretty ruthless when it comes to battles. He be on that "eat your kids" type shit.

I saw him at the Baltimore region DMC in 05, he was doing a showcase (which personally I thought was decent, nothing special bu decent nonetheless) but the turntablist folks ragged on it and said he fell off pretty hard.

I got a one or two of the mixes, maybe I'll dig it up and send it to you one day, it's worth hearing...especially with the time and energy that he put into them, keep in mind this was back in the day, no digital track machines or computer programs to do the editing/splices, the reel to reel days.

i would like to hear from him myself. saw him a few months bak but other than that.... nada.
