BPM Calculation

Hi there,
how precise is the BPM calculation in Itch? I still do this manually in Pro Tools w/ PnT Pro to achieve most accurate results. I never found a tool that calculates tempi precisely enough. I am talking about 5 - 10 minute transitions, thus the need for such high precision.

Hi,
the BPM calculator in Scratch LIVE and ITCH is designed to be accurate within a small margin of error. You will notice, for example, that an instrumental and vocal version of the same track will often end up a couple hundredths of a bpm off from eachother.
If you are expecting to be able to sit on a mix for 10 minutes without doing any nudging, you probably wont be happy with the results. However, you can use beat-sync to correct for this.
BeatSync is a sort of "smart nudge" which will help to keep two tracks phase aligned. It is a momentary function, that nudges the track either forward or back to try to align the nearest transients.
